Our aim was to maximise the potential of the existing property, improving the flow of the house without removing parts the clients loved.
The rear of the house was previously split into 5 different rooms, with the existing kitchen accessed via the dining room. There was little connection with the garden and during the evening there wasn't enough light. By combining these spaces we created a generous open plan kitchen/living space which allows light to flood the entire space.
The traditional feel and quirky features of the property have been retained but there are now contrasted by the contemporary kitchen. The new space connects with the garden, creating a seamless transition between indoor and out.
