George Buchanan Architects was appointed to create a contemporary, open plan living space to the rear of an existing house in Kelvindale.
Creating a feeling of space and light was key so rooflights were introduced alongside generous glazed doors and a full length picture window. Running a continuous floor finish throughout the ground floor living areas assisted in tying the new and existing together, whilst introducing a wood burning stove beings a sense of warmth to the space.
