This listed townhouse property in the West End of Glasgow was in need of modernisation and the removal of some unsympathetic additions, including a first floor conservatory.
Working with the client, a brief was developed that would see the layout of the lower levels transformed in order to better meet the needs of modern living. This included the removal of the old first floor extension and converting the former kitchen to a library. The basement level was then opened up to create a light filled kitchen dining space, completed by a new, timber clad extension. A green roof has been encorporated, giving views out from the library, whilst bringing much needed bio-diversity to the city.
With the addition of a set of beautiful, bespoke bi-fold doors, the space now flows directly into the garden creating a modern, light filled home.
